Paul has extensive experience across the public, voluntary and small business sectors. This includes leading and managing change projects in the public sector, developing enterprise and entrepreneurship in Higher Education and small business development.
Paul has an in-depth understanding of enterprise development particularly in Educational settings. Work in this area has included a good practice research study of the management of Intellectual Property across UK Higher Education, investigating the scope and use of early stage funding for commercialisation and the implementation of enterprise strategy across a University. Paul also led the successful accreditation against the SFEDI Centre of Excellence Award for a University Enterprise Centre, the first educational body to receive the award. He still regularly teaches and publishes on the topic of enterprise and entrepreneurship.
More recently Paul was a Project Manager, and later Business Development Manager, for a small business working in the area of SME investment readiness.
Paul is a member of the Institute of Knowledge Transfer.
