We are currently developing a role models programme for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) learners in partnership with a number of Further Education colleges.
The aim of the project, funded by the Learning & Skills Council North East, is to encourage BME learners to participate in courses at full Level 2 and above by piloting the idea of using role models in this context and generating evidence as to whether it is an impactful and sustainable tool, as well as developing best practice in this area of positive action in equality and diversity.
